Photos will be posted soon; in the meantime, email me and I will send
you photos of the machine you are interested in.
The sewing machine comes with a case unless otherwise noted. Cases come in
two styles: older machines have an upper lift-out tray. Later machines have a
tray on the side (inside) and a holder for the foot controller in the lid.
I won't sell you a machine that doesn't work, unless we discuss it and you want
to purchase it in as-is condition.
A "Centennial" machine was made in 1950 or 1951 to celebrate the 100 year
anniversary of the Singer Sewing Machine Co. It has a special plate on the
front of the machine. For this reason, it is more collectable and therefore has a
higher price.
A "scroll" end plate is a decorative feature on the older machines. Newer
machines just have straight lines on the end plate. I have collected more of the
older machines.
These machines are used and come without warranty. However, because there
are so many of them, it is possible to find replacement parts and repair persons
who have experience with these machines.
If the case has a musty smell, I will tell you about it. I have not found a way to
remove the musty smell from Featherweight cases.
"White" machines are either slightly beige or slightly green-ish. They are rarer
and therefore a little more expensive than a black machine of the same age and
quality. They come in green and white cases instead of the standard black
case.
"Decals" are the gold trim on the machine.
There is no owners manual unless it is specified in the listing, however I can
include a reproduction of the owners manual if desired for an additional $15.
"Accessories" include extra feet, screwdrivers, brushes, etc. Please inquire
about the list of accessories that will be included with a specified machine.
